Off to Niagara for a day of adventures!
The first thing we did in Niagara was see the Whirlpool. I would love to go on the Whirlpool Jet on day...looks like so much fun!
After the whirlpool, we drove along Niagara Pkwy to get to downtown Niagara-on-the-Lake. We stopped several times to take pictures
On our way to Niagara-on-the-Lake, we stopped at
Brock's monument and we walked around the park for a bit
After Brock's Monument, we continued on our journey to Niagara-on-the-Lake!
We finally arrived in the downtown area and walked around the town
After walking around for about half an hour we started to get hungry. After searching on Yelp, we decided to go eat at Grill on King and the paninis we ordered were very good!
Slow-roasted Shaved Prime Rib "Aged Cheddar cheese, roasted red bell pepper and horseradish mayo on a ciabatta bun" |
Smoked Salmon "Cured, sliced smoked salmon with herbed cream cheese, capers and sliced red onions on a ciabatta bun" |
After lunch, we walked around the town and found this park. After standing on the beach, we realized that we could see the Toronto skyline!
Time for ice cream! One thing you will notice while walking downtown is that a lot of people were eating ice cream...so we decided to join in on the fun!
Chocolate Peanut Butter // Pistachio Almond |
We did all that we wanted to do downtown but since we didn't want to go home yet, we decided to go see a movie. We wanted to go to a theatre closer to home so we went to Ancaster. While we were driving home, we had to wait about 15 - 20 mins while a ship crossed underneath a bridge near the Skyway
